MS IRENE M. DORNER, was appointed Deputy Chairman & CEO of HSBC Bank Malaysia
Berhad in June 2007 with responsibility for the Malaysian operations. She graduated
from St. Anne’s College, Oxford University with M.A. in Jurisprudence in 1976. A
Barrister by profession, she first joined the banking industry as an in-house lawyer. In
1982, she was the in-house lawyer of Samuel Montagu & Co. Limited, the merchant
banking arm of Midland Bank, which was later acquired by HSBC. She was appointed
the COO of Treasury and Capital Markets of HSBC Midland in 1995 and subsequently
went on to head Treasury and Capital Market Sales in 1998. In 1999, she was
appointed General Manager, Marketing of HSBC Bank plc and subsequently
appointed as General Manager, Human Resources in 2001. She then had
responsibility for HSBC branch network in the North of England, Scotland and Northern
Ireland comprising come 380 branches and 3,900 staff in 2003 to 2006, prior to
holding the post of General Manager, Premier and Wealth of HSBC Bank plc until May
2007.

DATO' ROSLI SHARIF,
is the Senior Director of International Business of UEM Group covering West Asia market focusing in OIC countries and Indonesia. His dynamism, experience, entrepreneurship mind set and multi disciplinary talents given him the edge to promote UEM Group International business in the challenging global markets.
Prior to current appointment, Dato' Rosli Sharif served 17 years at Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad ("CIMA") since 1988 where he started as Group Finance Manager. He was then appointed General Manager and Chief Operating Officer and finally appointed as Managing Director in 2002. During 1998-2009, he successfully led CIMA to expand the market and production capacity despite Asian financial crisis through the acquisition of Negeri Sembilan Cement Industries Sdn Bhd, leapfrogging the company to be the third largest cement producer in Malaysia. He was instrumental in modernization programme improving efficiency cement logistics services to improve business performance. His involvement in the cement industry earned him opportunity to lead the association of cement manufacturers as the Chairman of Cement and Concrete Association of Malaysia from 1998 to 2000.

DR EKWOW SPIO-GARBRAH, a citizen of Ghana was appointed Chief Executive
Officer of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO), UK in
September 2003, bringing to the position some 25 years of high level experience in
government, diplomacy, business, banking and consulting. Dr Spio-Garbrah was
formerly Minister of Communications of the Republic of Ghana and one-time
Ambassador of Ghana to the US and Mexico. He has also served as Minister of
Education, Minister responsible for Mines and Energy and Member of UNESCO’s
Executive Board in Paris. Before his appointment at the CTO, he was Chief Executive
of his own business consulting firm, Spio-Garbrah & Associates based in Ghana. As
an Education Minister from 1998 to 2002, he was credited with the creation of the
Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) which currently mobilises some $50 million
each year from the VAT for educational sector infrastructure and student assistance
programme.

TAN SRI DR MUNIR A. MAJID, is the Chairman of the Malaysia Airlines, post that he
has held since August 2004. Prior to his current appointment, he has served Executive
Director, Telekom Malaysia Berhad and concurrently Chairman, Celcom (M) Berhad
(2002-2004) and Founding Executive Chairman of the Securities Commission
(1993-1999). He also sits on the Board of Saujana Resorts (M) Berhad. Dato’ Munir
obtained his B.Sc. (Econ) from in 1971 as well as a Ph.D. in International Relations in
1978 from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), UK. He
taught as the Department of International Relations in LSE from 1972-1975. Dato’
has also served as Research Analyst for Daiwa Europe NV in London from
1975-1978. His professional affiliations include being Founder President of the
Kuala Lumpur Business Club and Honorary Fellow of the London School of
Economics and Political Science (LSE), among others.

MS PARVIN ALI, OBE, is a serial entrepreneur and CEO & Founder of FATIMA
Women’s Network, a socially responsible women’s network for all women but
particularly working with women and families from diverse and disadvantaged
communities. She is also the UK Representative for the European Women’s Lobby
on issues related to migration and faith; and a Member of the World Islamic
Businesswomen’s Network Task Force, part of the World Islamic Economic Forum
since its inception in 2005. She was appointed by the Minister of State for Trade &
Investment to the Board of the East Midlands Regional Development Agency. In the
Queen’s Birthday Honours List in June 2007, she was made an Officer of the Order
of the British Empire for services to diversity and is also a Fellow of the Royal Society
of Arts.

PROF DR DEWI FORTUNA ANWAR, is the Deputy Chairman for Social Sciences
& Humanities, The Indonesia Institute of Sciences (LIPI), Indonesia.
Her previous key appointments included being the Assistant Minister/State Secretary
for Foreign Affairs in Jakarta, Indonesia; Senior Researcher at the Indonesian
Institute of Sciences (LIPI) and at the Centre for Information and Development
Studies (CIDES).
She obtained her Ph.D. from Monash University, Australia in 1990 with a thesis
entitled “ASEAN as an Aspect of Indonesian Foreign Policy”. Dr Dewi also
received her B.A. and M.A. from the School of Oriental and African Studies
(SOAS), University of London in 1981 and 1982 respectively.

DATUK NICHOLAS S. ZEFFERYS, is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Applied Consulting & Engineering Sdn. Bhd., which provides strategic planning and
business development services in management and technology. He has been in
Malaysia for 14 years having initially worked in the Renong Group in the start-up of
Time Telekom (now Time dotCom Bhd.). He is Governor and Past President of the
American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) and serves on the Board
of Directors of Southern Bank Securities Berhad and Cassis International Pte. Ltd. He
was recently appointed by the Honourable Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi to serve
as a private sector representative on the Pemudah Task Force to improve the

MR LEO ARIYANAYAKAM, is the Chief Executive Officer and Group Executive Director and one of the founders of Scicom (MSC) Bhd. He has over ten years of experience in the CRM service's industry and has been involved with some of the most prestigious CRM projects in Asia Pacific.
Leo, aged 45 completed his tertiary education in the United Kingdom. Prior to working in Malaysia, he was a consultant for a large Kuwaiti based conglomerate until 1995, when he left to join a US based interactive and integrated marketing agency then part of the US based BJK&E group, as its Managing Director. He left in 1997 to form Scicom, spearheading it to its present position as a MESDAQ listed company.
Leo brings to Scicom almost 20 years of corporate and business experience, as well as extensive domain knowledge in marketing, technology, HR and Business Process Outsourcing.
Leo was selected as one of Malaysia's Outstanding Entrepreneurs for 2007 (APEA 2007) and was honored by PIKOM's (ICT Industry Association of Malaysia) as a Key Industry Leader for 2007 for his efforts and contributions in developing the Malaysian BPO industry.

MR DAVID JONES,
is the Chairman of the EU-Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EUMCCI).
He currently runs an independent consultancy offering advice in the fields of marketing strategy, supply chain management, e-business and aerospace. Prior to this, he worked for more than nine years with Rolls-Royce as the Regional Director for Malaysia.
For nineteen years, he worked in the transportation sector primarily in the airline industry including both Malaysia Airlines and British Airways and held various engineering, marketing as well as business roles.
During his time with Rolls-Royce, Mr Jones managed the customer interface for Southeast Asian customers including a one-year secondment to MiGHT (Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology) assisting in guiding the development of Malaysia's aerospace industry. Prior to this assignment, he led the team responsible for the successful development from initial concept through to launch of the Rolls-Royce's customer e-business portal - aero manager. He also led the development of the new aftermarket strategy which included the initiation of improved logistics processes.
Mr Jones has an Honours Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, an MBA, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Associates Sdn. Bhd., a leading Malaysian brand strategy and management firm.
She has more than 25 years experience in the field of strategy, marketing, communications
and customer management, spending the major part of her professional
career pursuing the creation and delivery of brand organisations and capabilities for
emerging market companies and institutions. She also authored Malaysia’s first
“Malaysian Brand Practice Report” in collaboration with PricewaterhouseCoopers
and the Malaysian Institute of Management and was the lead writer and consultant
to MITI on the IMP3 Chapter on Branding (2006-2020). She currently serves on the
Malaysian National Brand Task Force and was recently appointed to the Board of

is the Chief Executive Officer Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad
Malaysia, a listed Sarawak based conglomerate involved in cement and building
materials manufacturing and trading, construction, IT, financial services, property
development and is expanding into aluminiums melting in particular with Rio Tinto
Alcan in what will be one of Malaysia's largest single FDI. He also sits on the Boards of
UBG Berhad and K & N Kenanga Holdings Berhad. He is a law graduate from the
University of Bristol, UK, a Sloan Fellow of the London Business School, UK and
practised as a solicitor in London and Hong Kong.

DATO’ SAW CHOO BOON, graduated from the University of Malaya and joined
Shell in 1970 as a Refinery Technologist in Shell Refining Company (FOM) Bhd. He
then served in various capacities in Manufacturing, Supply, Trading and Planning in
Malaysia, Singapore and the Netherlands.
In 1996, he was appointed the Managing Director of Shell MDS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd
and in 1998, assumed the position of Managing Director for Oil Products
(Downstream), Shell Malaysia. In 1999, he became the Vice President of the
Commercial Business in the Asia Pacific region. On 1st March 2006, he was
appointed the Chairman of Shell Malaysia.

mix). An award-winning journalist and active in environment issues since the

MR RUSSELL TEALL, JD, is the President of Biodiesel lndustries,
Inc.,a ccompany which he founded over ten years ago for the purpose of developing and
commercialising biodiesel production technology. Under his leadership, Biodiesel
Industries has successfully evolved patented biodiesel production techniques for a wide
variety of feedstocks, including jatropha curcas. Biodiesel Industries recently broke
ground on its newest facility located in Detroit, in conjunction with DaimlerChrysler,
Bosch, Delphia nd NextEnergy, These plants utilize Mr Teall's patented process and
have capacities of 3-20 million gallons per year. They produce biodiesel predominantly
from recycled fryer oils, but are capable of using a wide variety of other feedstocks,
including crude vegetable oils and animal fats.

MR ASMADI MD SAID, is the Vice President - Innovation Management, Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MiGHT), Malaysia. He graduated from the University of Westminster (Polytechnic of Central London, UK in 1978 with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering. In 1984, he obtained his M.Sc. in Metallurgy and Materials Science in 1984 from the Case Western Reserve University of Ohio, USA. He joined MiGHT in 2001 as a Principal Analyst. DR KENNY TANG,
CFA, is Founder Chief Executive Officer of Oxbridge Climate Capital, leading experts in the low-carbon, cleantech and climate change area. Kenny has postgraduate degrees from the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Dr Tang is internationally renowned in sustainability and climate change and dubbed "Asia's Al Gore" by the global investment bank, Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific for his distinctive pro-business approach to climate change. He has written on sustainability, climate change, cleantech and entrepreneurship for the Financial Times and Wall Street Journal. He is on the Board of Governors at the University of East London and sits on the Global Judging Panel of the Wall Street Journal's Technology Innovation Awards and the Asian Wall Street Journal's Asian Innovation Awards. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder from the CFA Institute. DATO’ DR DIONYSIUS S.K. SHARMA, is the Executive Director of WWF Malaysia. Prior
to this, he was CEO designate/National Programme Director, WWF Malaysia (Feb
’06-Dec ’06); National Programme Director, WWF Malaysia (Dec ’02-Jan ’06);
Fellow, Senior Head, Animal Species Conservation Unit, WWF Malaysia (2001-2002);
Senior Head, Animal Species Conservation Unit, WWF Malaysia (1999-2000); Wildlife
Ecologist, Senior Scientific Officer, WWF Malaysia (1996-1998); to name a few. Dr
Sharma has been the Scientific Advisor to Asian Geographic – The Journal of Our
Environment since 1999. His scientific interests include Ecology and conservation of
marine turtles; Natural history, ecology and conservation of freshwater turtles and
tortoises; Ecology and conservation of the Malayan Tiger; Large mammal conservation;
Diversity and distribution of reptiles and amphibians in Peninsular Malaysia; Ecosystem
approaches to conservation of biological diversity; Human evolution; and Paleozoology.
Dr Sharma holds a B.Sc. (Ecology) from University of Malaya and a Ph.D.
(Conservation Biology) from the University of Kent, England.

DR NICK A. CHAPPELL, is the Senior Lecturer in Hydrology, Lancaster Environment
Centre at the Department of the Environmental Science, Lancaster University, UK. Dr
Chapel is a Researcher focussing on the effect of forest and climate changes on
tropical water resources. In the last 18 years he has undertaken collaborative
research with academics and environmental managers across the Asian region. He
works closely with Yayasan Sabah managers in Malaysia who operate globally
significant research centres that have attracted the support of prestigious organisations
such as the Royal Society of London. He has over 50 published articles
addressing this science and its implications for land-use policy, and in the last three
years has co-convened five conferences in the region. He also sits on the SE Asia
committee of the Royal Society of London, the Royal Meteorological Society’s
committee and the steering committee of a major new forest-climate interactions
project funded by the UK Government in collaboration with the Malaysian Meteorological
Department.

MR GURMIT SINGH, is the Chairman for the Centre for Environment, Technology & Development (CETDEM), Malaysia. He has been the Adviser, Environmental Protection Society, Malaysia since June 1994; Member of the Environmental Quality Council, Malaysia since September 1986 and Steering Committee Member of the Climate Action Network, Southeast Asia (CANSEA) since 1992. He holds a B.E. (Electrical) from the University of Malaya and is a Member of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia since 1974.

He also spent fifteen years with the Singapore Tourism Board, which included nine years overseeing their European operations.
Christopher has extensive consulting experience in Europe, Asia and Australia and has worked with leading companies, organisations, regional authorities and governments including Abu Dhabi, India and China, having held senior positions in strategic planning, international consulting, marketing and operations and market research.
He graduated from Fachhochschule Ulm, West Germany with a degree in Production Engineering and obtained his MBA from the City University Business School in London, United Kingdom.

DATO' SERI AHMAD ZUBIR MURSHID,
is Group Chief Executive of Sime Darby Berhad.
Prior to his appointment,he was Director Heavy Equipment/Power and Allied
Product Gsroup of Sime Darby since lst October 2003, responsible for overseeing the
operations of these businesses.
Dato' Seri Ahmad Zubir now sits on the board of a number of public-listed companies
within the Sime Darby Group namely Sime Darby Berhad, Sime UEP Properties
Berhad, Tractors Malaysia Holdings Berhad, Sime Engineering Services Berhad and a
number of non-public listed companies. He is an associate member of the American
Institute of Industrial nEgineers and a member of the Harvard Business School

Dato'Seri Ahmad Zubir holds a Diplomai n Engineering Technology from Brighton
Technical College and a Degree in Production Engineering from the University of
Wales. He has also attended the Management Development Programme at Harvard
Business School, USA. A qualified industrial engineer, Dato' Seri Ahmad Zubir served
23 years in various senior positions in the Group prior to his appointment as Chief
Executive.

DR ALI AZIZAN MOHAMAD, currently serves as the Director of Programmes, International Centre for Leadership in Finance (ICLIF), Malaysia, post that he has held since February 2008. Prior to his current appointments, he has assumed numerous key appointments within Maybank Group including Executive Vice-President and Head of Learning and Knowledge Management and Head of Business Unit HR, Capability II (December 2006-February 2008) and Executive Vice President / Head of Learning and Knowledge Management and Head of Talent Management (October 2005-November 2006). In addition, he has also served as General Manager & Head, Professional Development, Group Human Resource Management, Telekom Malaysia (2004-2005), to name a few. Mr Ali Azizan received his Ph.D. from UKM in 1987; M.Sc. in Education from the University of Southern California (1979); Master of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (1978) and Bachelor of Science from the Northern Illinois U niversity (1976). Mr Ali is also Associate Member of the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry.

MR ANUAR ROZHAN, Director of Hay Group, MalaysiaAnuarRozhanis a Director with Hay Group Malaysia. He comes to Hay Group with over 25 years of corporate experience bringing with him a wealth of real world Management and Human Resource experience, 13 of those years was spent in Shell in a variety ofjobs, from shipping to consumer and retail marketing in Malaysia, plus a 3 year stint as a Strategy and Business Consultant in Shell International, based in London. Anuaralso spent nearly 8 years in Proton, again in many different capacities including being the Managing Director of Proton Cars Australia between 1998 and 2001, a Director of Proton Edarand Proton Cars U.K. as well as Head of the International Business Division in his last Proton assignment. Anuarjoined Hay Group Malaysia in 2003 and has since led many major consultancy projects such as Bank Negara Malaysia, Bursa SahamMalaysia, Bank Pembangunan, UEM Group, South Johor Investment Corridor (IRDA), UMW Oil & Gas, UMW Toyota as well involved in, Maybank, Bank SimpananNasional, JabatanPerhidmatanAwam(JPA), Securities Commission, North Port and Telco, DiGi. At the international level, Anuarhas done work for Bank Niagaof Indonesia and multinational Pharmaceutical company, Novartis, PTT Chemicals of Thailand. Anuaralso leads the Building Effective Organization (BEO) Practice in Malaysia and has been trained in Job Evaluation, Coaching, Profiling and Talent Management.His working stints in Malaysia,U.K. and Australia at CEO/Director level gives Anuarfirst-hand experience at handling and driving results through culturally diverse people and a first hand knowledge of what it means to be truly "Global".

MR ANDREAS DORN, is a Trainer, Business and Life Coach, Speaker and Consultant.
He trains and coaches with Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), TimeLine
TherapyTM techniques, Hypnotherapy, and the Enneagram. These processes allow
Andreas to gain deep insights into human and organisational identities, values,
beliefs and behaviours. Andreas uses these processes to assist clients and individuals
to create long-lasting and desired change. Andreas is a member of the American
Board of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (ABNLP) and the Time Line Therapy™
Association and has been trained with Tad James, the leading authority on NLP and
Timeline Therapy™. His trainings are recognised by these internationally leading
institutes. In addition, he is Certified Professional Trainer of MIM.
